I got a chance to see the contemporary art auctions for the first time and it was a life changing experience.
AERYK – Coming to Form is a cinematic portrait about contemporary artist Aeryk Williams that chronicles him as he creates his contributions to art history. It shows rare footage of the young artist in his creative process after being inspired by the art in his hometown, Houston, Texas. This documentary captures his emotional spontaneity and cerebral intensity as he makes his first works of art. Concluding with him being driven by his artistic impulse to go to New York to create the cover of his first Catalogue Raisonne.
Karl Hutter Fine Art is pleased to announce the much, anticipated opening of AERYK
Thursday, April 2 – Sunday, May 17, 2015
A first for Los Angeles, AERYK’s exhibition includes his latest series of “word blast” paintings, directly connecting to the world of gestural abstract expressionism, through an emotional and very personal, explosion of words.
The son of a West Indies preacher and a Saponi Indian painter, AERYK brings a unique, unbounded, spiritual rawness to using text as an art form.
